MITA WT at Ecomondo 2026: innovation and synergies to stop nutrient pollution

RIMINI (3–6 November 2026) – MITA WT reconfirms its presence at Ecomondo 2026, the international benchmark for the ecological transition and circular economy, scheduled from 3 to 6 November 2026 at the Rimini Expo Centre. At Stand 219 (Hall D8), the company will welcome engineers, technicians, and plant operators to present the most advanced technologies dedicated to wastewater treatment.

At the center of this year’s exhibition will be two flagship solutions for energy efficiency and the sustainability of purification processes:

• PECV VM vertical axis disc filters: compact units in metallic tanks ideal for tertiary filtration in confined spaces. They utilize deep filtration on free-fiber piles, ensuring extremely high removal rates of total suspended solids (TSS up to < 5 mg/l), as well as particulate phosphorus and micropollutant reduction, operating continuously by gravity with minimal energy consumption limited solely to the backwash phase.

• EDI diffused air diffusers: engineered aeration systems featuring fine bubbles (FlexAir® line) and coarse bubbles (CoarsAir™), ideal for optimizing biological treatment with high oxygen transfer efficiency and the lowest life cycle cost (LCC).

Participation in Ecomondo 2026 fits into the framework outlined by European Directive 2024/3019, which sets stringent targets regarding nutrient removal (phosphorus and nitrogen), microplastics, energy neutrality, and water reuse. The technologies offered by MITA WT provide solutions to these regulatory and environmental challenges, promoting water reuse in agricultural and industrial settings.
